There are lots of variations to this recipe but this is the basic guide to making a decent pie.
Average Time: 8 mins
Ingredients: (For 1 Person with a decent appetite)
- 2 Packets of noodles with spices contained
- 2 Eggs
- a pinch of salt
- a small amount of sliced onions
- tin of sardines or it's equivalent in quantity of fish (if you want it extra rich)
Directions:
- Crush the noodles while still inside the packet. Make sure they are well crushed before you open the packet.
- Empty the noodles into a bowl or pan of very hot water and place a cover over it to trap the heat for 2 minutes. This is to soften the noodles.
- Crack the eggs into a medium sized bowl and add a pinch of salt, empty the can of sardines or equivalent of 125 grams of fish into the eggs and salt, add the sliced onions. Use a fork to turn the mixture thoroughly.
- Remove the softened noodles from the water and mix it thoroughly with the egg mixture.
- Heat 3-4 Table spoons of cooking oil in a frying pan.
- Pour the well mixed contents of eggs, noodles and fish into the heated frying pan, spread it as evenly as possible and fry until crisp and golden-brown on both sides. (Be careful not to turn the heat up too much or else the inside may not cook properly)
Note:- The beauty of the pie is flipping it over to fry the other side without it breaking. Enjoy!
