BREAKFAST RECIPE FOR BACHELORS (1): Noodle Pie

Background: Everybody knows how to make the regular old noodles available in the market be it Indomie, Chiki or Honeywell. I had a particularly deep romance with noodles throughout my university days and by the time i graduated I looked for other ways to excite my palate. Mainly because I was bored with the usual and partly because I am connoisseur of simple but   delicious dishes (if i may blow my own trumpet).

There are lots of variations to this recipe but this is the basic guide to making a decent pie.
Average Time: 8 mins
Ingredients: (For 1 Person with a decent appetite)
  • 2 Packets of noodles with spices contained
  • 2 Eggs
  • a pinch of salt
  • a small amount of sliced onions
  • tin of sardines or it's equivalent in quantity of fish (if you want it extra rich)

Directions:
  • Crush the noodles while still inside the packet. Make sure they are well crushed before you open the packet.
  • Empty the noodles into a bowl or pan of very hot water and place a cover over it to trap the heat for 2 minutes. This is to soften the noodles.
  • Crack the eggs into a medium sized bowl and add a pinch of salt, empty the can of sardines or equivalent of 125 grams of fish into the eggs and salt, add the sliced onions. Use a fork to turn the mixture thoroughly.
  • Remove the softened noodles from the water and mix it thoroughly with the egg mixture.
  • Heat 3-4 Table spoons of cooking oil in a frying pan.
  • Pour the well mixed contents of eggs, noodles and fish into the heated  frying pan, spread it as evenly as possible and fry until crisp and golden-brown on both sides. (Be careful not to turn the heat up too much or else the inside may not cook properly)
Note:- The beauty of the pie is flipping it over to fry the other side without it breaking. Enjoy!
