Bloomberg Rates Nigeria The Most Stressful Place In The World

Bloomberg just recently pulled out another fact that says that from a sampling of 74 countries in the world, Nigeria, closely followed by South Africa, El-Salvador & Mongolia are the toughest environments to live! At the other extreme of this table are the top four least stressful places in the world - Norway, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Sweden. Incidentally the use of anti-depressants in some of the top twenty least stressful countries sampled have risen by as much as 1000% since the 1980's. Now that's some irony right there. The U.S.A is interestingly the 54th most stressful place in the world to be.

The variables analysed for this Homicide Rates, GDP (purchasing power), Income equality, Corruption, Unemployment, Air pollution & Life expectancy.

Its been ages since many of us said a united "huh"??? just right after we heard that Nigerians were rated the most optimistic people in the world. Abundantly ironic to the average Nigerian to hear that in spite of the enormous challenges we were actually happier than everybody else. Since then there have been lots of statistics by Transparency International and other bodies in the business of data collation, some good, some undesirable like this new stat.

Not worry we are still the happiest lot on earth, how we manage to be we don't know but we thank God for it.
