Good Neighbour Cameroon Grants Nigerian Refugees Unlimited Stay

The military operation in Borno state targeted at destroying Boko Haram have forced 1,500 Nigerians to flee into neighboring Cameroon for safety. The Nigerian Ambassador to Cameroon, Ambassador Hadiza Mustapha confirmed this to journalists at the summit for regional security, holding in Yaounde, Cameroon today. According to reports, she confirmed that the Nigerians taking refuge had been granted unlimited stay and commended the fruitful bi-lateral cooperation between both countries.

For many Nigerians, this is different from the general sentiment that has prevailed for a decades over the Bakassi Peninsula. Cameroon and Nigeria seems to pulling together for the good of their sub-region. Just about time if you ask me.

Well done Mr. Paul Biya. Nothing like a good neighbor.
President Paul Biya
