Maiduguri Vigilantes Apprehend 31 Terrorists In One Weekend

It was a torrid weekend for Boko Haram members within the Maiduguri metropolis as 31 members of the terrorist cult were nabbed at various locations in the city. These youths popularly called "Civilian JTF" are said to have their arms open wide at present to grab as many as can be found in the city. The unlucky boko haram thugs were said to be stragglers on the run from Nigerian troops that recently overran their camps in the Sambisa Forest Reserve and Kirenowa town.

The average age of vigilantes is 17-25 years and these courageous boys have found themselves the target of Boko Haram at times. Gunmen hid their assault rifles inside a coffin and opened fire on them in Maiduguri several weeks ago. At least 13 people were killed in that attack.
